Philosophical Question of the Day

It's philisophical question of the day time!

Today's question is;

Can you separate a person from their actions?

Take for example Hitler. Can you say that he is a nice man(we'll presume that people liked him) if you disregard his actions(i.e. rather a lot of killing) and look only at his personality and social interactions.

Would you have liked him if you didn't know who he was and just met him socially? And if you then found out about his actions, would you be able to say that he is a nice man?
